About Gas-Xpress
Scheduling
We schedule appointments in 3-hour time slots, i.e., between 9 am and 12 noon or between 10 am and 1 pm. The technician may arrive at any time during the scheduled time slot, so we ask that you please plan accordingly. We do ask that you be available the entire time of the appointment time slot and at least an hour beyond, as the technician may arrive towards the end of the time slot for your appointment. If you have another obligation ( have to pick the kids up at 3 pm, etc.), please do not schedule an appointment during that time frame. We try to be as accommodating as possible, but in the winter season, we are extremely busy and work very hard to stay on schedule for all of our customers. IF REQUESTED, we can call when en route to your home and give as much advance notice as possible ( usually 20 to 30 minutes ). If you have not requested a " Call Ahead," we WILL simply show up during our scheduled time frame. We appreciate your understanding and consideration when scheduling service.
Day of Service
For service, it is best that the fireplace is not run on the day of service. At the very least, please make sure the fireplace has not been run for at least 2 hours prior to the beginning of the service window.
Please clear a 6' X 6' area in the front of the fireplace to allow access for service. We bring a padded blanket to put down to ensure we leave no mess.
Please move furniture and appliances (T.V.s) to allow access to the fireplace and wall switch for service.
Payment
We accept cash, checks, Visa or Master Card. Payment is due at the time of service. If the person responsible for payment cannot be present when service is scheduled, we can take a credit card in advance that will not be billed until service is complete.
For credit card payments, a 4% processing fee is applied to whatever amount we need to process.
